For Ben Schane growing up in a small South Texas town on the coast was never easy. While the gulf water and sea breeze was destined to have an impact on his life, there was more waiting out there for him than just the saltwater. Schane’s father, a shipping industry worker for over twenty years, befriended a Greek ship captain at the Port of Corpus Christi. One day the Captain presented Schane’s father with a cheap green guitar he had purchased while on a route in the Philippines and said, "Give this to your kids". Once the guitar entered their home, Ben Schane became consumed with teaching himself to play the guitar.
Songwriting followed soon after. Since the age of fifteen, Ben Schane has been scripting words of truth, fiction, and truth about fiction. His passion for writing and playing music has grown into an emerging career as a singer/songwriter.
Ben Schane has spent the past ten years writing and crafting his style into the true, honest, and original songwriting that he is known for today. Having played many shows over the years simply for the love of songwriting and music, Schane decided it was time to produce a professional product for the public and recorded his debut album, "Antique Noises".
As a songwriter with a strong story-telling style, Schane's debut album is unparelelled collection of 12 original songs, giving each a unique, engaging style. Ben Schane has the heart of an old fashioned story teller and the sound of one of the best up and coming artist in the Americana scene.

"I first heard Ben Schane some seven or eight years ago at a venue in College Station, Texas. Not two songs into his show, I realized that Ben was truly an undiscovered talent as not only a songwriter and poet, but a musician as well. Since that night, I have been chomping at the bit awaiting the release of his debut album, "Antique Noises."
Better than half a decade later I have what I wanted and more! This album was definitely worth the wait! If I were asked in what genre of music "Antique Noises" belongs, I would be stumped. No answer! Ben, who is branded by his acoustic sound, meshes well with producer Britt Lloyd, who is identified by his rock and electric style. The one quality shared by each song in this eclectic mix is its ability to relate to the life and experiences of the listener. Ben's introspective songwriting style draws from difficulties and complexities of life he has encountered along with the consequences of choices he has made. Whether the listener hangs on to every word, or is simply seeking entertaining music "Antique Noises," is equipped for the job.
Exhibiting an array of talents, Ben displays his abilities as a balladeer with the title track "Antique Noises," a heartbreaking story about a veteran of a distant war. He also tells a tragic love story with "Meg" and explores the effects of paranoia with "Window Blinds." Ben Schane's songwriting skills coupled with the musical capacities and creativity of Musician/Producer Britt Lloyd and award winning Sound Engineer Adam Odor create "Antique Noises," a distinctively refreshing break from the monotony of all that is mainstream.
